Privacy policy

Note for the site owner — delete before launch. This policy describes a site with no analytics installed, because none is installed yet. strategy.md section 9 calls for GA4 and Search Console from day one. The moment either is added, the "Analytics" section below must be rewritten and a cookie notice added, or this page becomes false.

The short version

This site is static. It has no accounts, no logins, no shopping basket and no database. We do not ask for your name, we do not set advertising cookies, and we do not sell anything directly.

What we collect ourselves

Nothing, at present. There is no analytics script, no tracking pixel and no server-side logging of visits beyond whatever our web host keeps as standard operational logs.

What our host sees

The site is hosted on IONOS. Like any web host, its servers record standard request data — IP address, the page requested, timestamp, browser user-agent — in access logs used for security and diagnostics. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.

Analytics

There is currently no analytics on this site. If we add Google Analytics 4, this section will be updated to say so before it goes live, and will explain what GA4 collects and how to opt out.

Fonts

Pages load the Space Grotesk typeface from Google Fonts. Doing so sends your IP address and browser information to Google in order to serve the font file. If you would rather that did not happen, blocking fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com will fall the site back to your system typeface with no loss of function.

Product links on this site point to Amazon. Following one takes you to Amazon's site, where Amazon's own privacy policy and cookies apply — not ours. We currently earn no commission from these links and receive no data back about what you do there. See the affiliate disclosure.

Email

If you write to us, we keep your message and address for as long as it takes to deal with it. We do not add you to a mailing list from an email you sent us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Because we hold almost none, the answer is usually short. Write to hello@selectacard.com.

Changes

If this policy changes materially — particularly if analytics or advertising is added — the date at the top changes with it.
